Many people who struggle with substance use don’t get the treatment they need. Some individuals forgo treatment due to financial reasons. Others feel that they can’t take extended time from work, school, or family obligations to enroll in a treatment program. Sierra Sage Recovery Services’ (SSRS) outpatient rehab in Las Vegas provides affordable treatment for these individuals without interrupting their daily responsibilities.
Sierra Sage Recovery offers a high-quality outpatient program that helps clients overcome their addictions while honoring commitments to their families or employers. You can learn more about the outpatient program at SSRS by calling us at 833.922.2884 today.
How Does Outpatient Treatment Work?
Outpatient rehab is the best suited for individuals who have mild to moderate addictions that don’t require detox. The programs may also serve as a source of continuing support and guidance for individuals exiting an inpatient program.
An outpatient rehab program offers a flexible schedule that can be adapted to the individual’s needs. Clients continue living at home or in a sober-living home but must attend scheduled counseling sessions several times per week.
The three categories of outpatient rehabs are as follows:
- Partial Hospitalization Program: PHPs help a person transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment. Counselors work with clients to examine how they handle triggers and plan for positive responses. It is a step-down approach that requires approximately 25 to 30 hours of sessions per week.
- Intensive Outpatient Program: IOPs are also a step-down approach for individuals ready for less intensive treatment than PHP. They attend IOP sessions three times per week for three hours per session.
- Outpatient Program: A general outpatient program is the least intensive of all outpatient programs. Sessions last about 90 minutes and are held one to three times per week. Clients may remain in the program until a therapist and/or the person’s family determine that the services are no longer necessary.
As with any addiction treatment program, outpatient rehab requires commitment and a strong desire to overcome addiction. Without the controlled, secure environment provided by an inpatient program, individuals will face temptation daily and must be dedicated to maintaining their sobriety.
How Does Outpatient Treatment Work?
Each person responds to treatment differently. At SSRS, we take time to assess each client’s unique situation and create a customized program based on their needs.
During their time in our outpatient program, clients can expect the following:
- Individual therapy
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Bipolar Disorder therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
When a person struggles with mental health issues and a substance use disorder, providers must treat both conditions simultaneously for the best results. Depending on a client’s needs, SSRS offers treatment and therapy for trauma, anxiety, and depression. We also provide therapy for co-occurring mental health disorders.
Outpatient rehab also provides medical care and medications if needed. To ensure that this approach to treatment is working, we may ask clients to consent to regular drug testing during the program. This information is vital to helping a person develop relapse prevention techniques that work for them.
