By repeatedly abusing substances, individuals put themselves at great risk of becoming dependent.

Through repeated use of drugs or alcohol, an individual’s brain chemistry is altered. Their body becomes reliant upon the substance to produce the necessary chemicals so an individual can function properly. Without drugs or alcohol, the individual begins to experience intense and painful withdrawal symptoms. Thus, a vicious cycle develops as someone becomes dependent or addicted. To break this cycle, individuals need medical support and professional addiction treatment.

Treatment will vary depending on each individual’s unique struggles with drugs or alcohol. For some, recovery can be achieved with relatively short outpatient programs, while others need a longer duration program. Also, treatment will vary depending on the substance an individual is dependent upon. Once someone enters our substance abuse treatment programs, they’ll access some of the best and most comprehensive addiction treatment therapies. Our therapies address the underlying mental health conditions a client may have, gives them the tools and teaches them the skills to deal with stressors, and provides them with the means to create a supportive community once treatment is complete. Some of the therapies we offer include:

Sierra Sage

Overcoming substance use disorder can be a challenge. However, addiction is highly treatable, and at Sierra Sage Recovery Services, our substance abuse treatment center can give the necessary support to heal. Our therapeutic services and treatment programs can give clients the tools and resources they need to overcome their drug or alcohol addiction. Some of our addiction treatment program include:

  • Partial hospitalization program (PHP): Here, clients come to our facility at Sierra Sage to receive the individualized and group therapy they need to work through their substance use disorder. However, clients can return to their home or sober living facility after the day’s treatment allowing them to keep their social commitments and meet work responsibilities.
  • Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP): Like our PHP, however, clients receive a condensed program of treatment that allows them to get treatment around their schedule while still living and working as usual. Unlike PHO, IOP is typically a shorter timeframe and designed for individuals with milder addictions or looking to get help after a relapse.
  • Outpatient treatment: This program lies near the “least intensive” end of the treatment continuum. It is a treatment best suited for those with the least severe substance abuse issues. This program provides a level of flexibility that many of those struggling with dependency need. It is especially suited for those who know they need help for drug abuse or alcohol addiction but cannot stop working, attending school, or caring for their family to get it.
